About this Speaker

Gillian joined Positive Help in 2018 as Manager, and within 10 months was named CEO. With over 11 years experience of leading health and children’s charities and many more working with volunteers, she was the perfect fit to take the charity into the next stages to help enable zero HIV transmissions.

Positive Help has been supporting people who live with HIV for over 3 decades. Working with both adults and families who experience additional challenges and barriers to accessing treatment they provide practical assistance to reduce inequalities. Working collaboratively and with equal respect is extremely important to Positive Help and is embedded into what they do. Their model of providing practical support delivered by volunteers was replicated many times through the pandemic. With their highly trained and diverse group of volunteers along with systems already in place, Positive Help was quick to respond and develop services further to support health and wellbeing.
